Ronald Woynarski was born and raised in the farming community of Waterford, Ontario. An early interest in mathematics and science lead Ron to the Queen's University in Kingston where he obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering. Unsatisfied, Ron went on to also obtain his law degree from the Queen's University in 1977. Ron articled with the Crown Attorney's Office in Kitchener, before being called to the bar in 1979. He has been practicing law in the City of Cambridge ever since.
While originally heavily involved in the field of criminal law, Ron shifted his practice over time and now practices primarily in the area of civil and family litigation, commercial law, and wills and estate planning. Ron has acted for a range of clients from private individuals to small business and publicly traded corporations.
With over 29 years of experience, Ron has seen the practice of law change and evolve. As part of the evolving nature of the law, Ron is a strong advocate of Collaborative Family Law, a method through which family law issues can be negotiated in a principled and effective manner. In this way, lengthy and expensive litigation can be avoided while allowing the client to have meaningful participation in settlement discussions. Collaborative Family Law is just one example of Ron's dedication to providing the client the most effective solution possible.
Ron is also active in the community of Cambridge, including acting as director of the United Way, the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank, Cambridge Employment Options, Canadian Mental Health Association, and Kids Can Play. He is also a member of Kinsmen Club of Galt, Cambridge North Rotary Club, Cambridge Sunrise Rotary Club, the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Legal Technology, and the Are Committee of Legal Aid. In his spare time Ron also enjoys skiing, cycling, and golf.
